High-Performance Shop Manager

Company: Prestige Motorsports
Title: High-Performance Shop Manager
Location: Salisbury, NC
Status: W2
Hours: Full-time

Do you have a passion for classic cars, restomods, and high-performance builds? At Prestige Motorsports, we live by our motto: Making Dreams a Reality. We’re looking for a High-Performance Shop Manager who shares that same drive for excellence and craftsmanship.

Instead of just reading through a list of duties, ask yourself:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Do you enjoy leading skilled technicians, setting them up for success, and fostering a culture of excellence and craftsmanship?
  • Have you ever hired, trained, or coached a team and seen them thrive under your leadership?
  • Are you comfortable making tough decisions when it comes to discipline or performance management?

Client & Project Management

  • Can you confidently sit down with a client, understand their vision for their vehicle, and turn it into a realistic project plan?
  • Have you managed multiple projects at once, keeping them on schedule, on budget, and at the highest quality standard?
  • Are you comfortable keeping clients updated with progress reports, timelines, and invoices so they always feel in the loop?

Technical Knowledge & Industry Experience

  • Do you have hands-on experience with classic car mechanics, restomods, or high-performance upgrades?
  • Have you managed complex builds—from teardowns and custom fabrications to full restorations—while maintaining strict quality control?
  • Are you familiar with project management tools, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office to keep everything running smoothly?

Day-to-Day Responsibilities You’ll Own

  • Oversee workflow, schedules, and inspections to ensure the shop operates efficiently.
  • Work with vendors, handle parts ordering, and ensure the right supplies are always on hand.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and client expectations from start to finish.
  • Develop policies and procedures that keep the shop running at peak performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in the high-performance or classic car industry.
  • 5+ years in automotive project management (custom builds, restomods, or restorations).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (you don’t have to wrench daily, but you need to understand the work at a deep level).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or MBA preferred, but hands-on experience and results matter most.

Why Prestige Motorsports?

If you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment where every project is unique and every client has a dream, this is the place for you. You won’t just manage a shop—you’ll lead a team that creates rolling works of art.
