Performance Parts Inventory Specialist

Company: Prestige Motorsports
Title: Performance Parts Inventory Specialist
Location: Concord
Status: W2
Hours: Full-time

About Us
At Prestige Motorsports, we don’t just build vehicles — we build dreams. Nestled in Salisbury, NC, our shop is home to a team of gearheads, engineers, and visionaries obsessed with horsepower, precision, and the perfect paint job. From custom restomods and performance upgrades to full classic car restorations, we deliver jaw-dropping results that turn heads and win shows.

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and technically savvy Inventory Specialist with a strong understanding of internal combustion engine systems and the aftermarket performance world. In this role, you’ll research parts, manage inventory systems, and handle inbound and outbound logistics for our builds.

This is an essential position that keeps our engine builds, shipping schedules, and customer experience running smoothly.

Ask Yourself…

  • Do you know your way around a small-block Chevy or LS3 parts catalog without skipping a beat?
  • Can you spot a part number mismatch or bin count error a mile away?
  • Are you fluent in Excel formulas, purchase orders, and QuickBooks inventory workflows?
  • Do you get satisfaction from being the one who keeps the shop stocked, the orders moving, and the chaos in check?

If you’re nodding “yes,” we should talk.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Research and order parts for custom builds, engine projects, and shop inventory
  • Manage inventory systems, conduct counts, and allocate parts to build jobs using QuickBooks and Excel
  • Receive and track shipments, inspecting and stocking inventory with accuracy
  • Prepare parts and engines for outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and truck freight scheduling
  • Communicate with vendors and internal team members to clarify specs, part availability, and timelines
  • Maintain adequate levels of shop supplies and consumables
  • Resolve customer and internal inquiries regarding product info, ETAs, and shipping

Qualitifications:

  • Inventory management experience (ordering, receiving, allocation, bin control, returns)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and purchase order processes
  • Familiarity with shipping tools (UPS/FedEx portals) and coordinating truck freight
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly (parts, boxes, supplies)
  • Experience working with internal combustion engines and aftermarket performance parts
  • Strong communication skills and team coordination mindset
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and proactive under pressure

Client Communication & Business Operations

  • Send updates, progress photos, and the occasional burn-out video to keep clients in the loop
  • Prepare estimates, send weekly invoices, and help keep projects on time and on budget
  • Identify ways to improve workflow, reduce delays, and optimize performance — in the builds and the business

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have experience in a machine shop, performance shop, or automotive parts supplier
  • Can work across departments (sales, tech, shipping) with clarity and follow-through
  • Are a gearhead who speaks both “builder” and “inventory control” fluently

What you’ll get

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic, horsepower-driven environment
  • Employee discounts on performance parts and in-house builds
  • A passionate, focused, and fun shop culture where your skills are valued

Ready to Apply?

Tell us:

  • What’s your experience with managing performance parts inventory?
  • What’s your favorite engine platform to build or spec out?
  • What tools (digital or mechanical) do you rely on to stay organized?

Let’s make horsepower happen—together.

How to Apply
Send us your resume and a quick note about why you’d crush this role. Bonus points if you include a photo or link to a build, you’ve managed or worked on.
