Jay’s ‘69 Mustang

Introducing the stunning 1969 Mustang Survivor Series built for Jay O’Brien, a project that beautifully balances classic appeal with modern performance. This Mustang originally featured an FE-based engine, and Jay wanted to retain that heritage while enhancing its capabilities. He opted for our ultimate turnkey package, which includes a 427 stroked 390 FE-based crate engine, maintaining a factory-like appearance with a carburetor look, thanks to the MSD Atomic throttle body fuel injection system. We also incorporated a March accessory drive system and personalized touches, such as custom valve covers, to achieve the desired aesthetic. The build features a Wizard radiator package with brushless fans and a modernized Aeromotive fuel system, along with an upgraded automatic overdrive transmission package that seamlessly connects to the vintage FE engine. Additional enhancements include a Borgeson power steering upgrade, four-wheel disc brakes from Wilwood, custom headers, and an array of other improvements. The goal of this Mustang was to preserve its original charm and engine characteristics while providing a modern feel and reliability, ensuring that Jay could confidently drive it anywhere.
