Jim’s ‘64 Galaxie

Presenting our exceptional 1964 Ford Galaxy, a dream project brought to life for John Sigmon. This classic beauty had been a familiar sight on his daily commute, sitting in a front yard for years, but John envisioned transforming it into a pro-touring race car with an elegant flair. We dedicated countless hours to meticulous metalwork, repairing the body, tucking the bumpers, and refining the body lines for a sleek finish. The Galaxy is built on a Roadster Shop chassis, equipped with 14-inch Baer brakes, a robust 9-inch rear end, and top-tier suspension for superior handling. Staying true to its roots, we retained an FE engine, but pushed the limits with 665 hp, thanks to an all-aluminum block from Bear Block Motors, complete with custom cylinder heads, a solid roller camshaft, and a converted tunnel port intake for multi-point fuel injection. This dry sump engine is paired with a six-speed Tremec transmission, blending performance with sophistication. Inside, the elegant red velvet-style interior showcases handmade billet accents and a waterfall-style console, with bucket seats in both the front and rear. This build is a testament to craftsmanship and passion, showcasing the perfect balance of race-inspired power and classic elegance.
