At Prestige Motorsports, we know that each motorsport discipline demands specific engine requirements. In drifting, especially Formula Drift, torque is king, and a wide, flat torque curve is vital for control and competitiveness on the track.
Drifting isn’t just about hitting the rev limiter—it requires precise throttle modulation, particularly during chase runs. A wide torque curve ensures consistent power across RPMs, preventing disastrous RPM drops mid-run.
To achieve this, we worked with DJ Stubstad to create a positive-displacement-supercharged LS engine, with Jeff Huneycutt from The Horsepower Monster documenting the build.
