A go-to for muscle car enthusiasts, supercharged engines deliver instant power and that signature belt-driven whine. Because they’re mechanically driven off the crankshaft, boost is available right off idle—making them ideal for street and strip builds where throttle response is key. These engines are built with 2618 forged pistons, heavy wall wrist pins, dual keyway crankshafts, ARP 2000 rod bolts, and extreme duty exhaust valves for maximum strength and reliability. Lower compression ratios are used to safely accommodate boost and ensure long-term durability under high load.
Turbocharged
Turbocharged engines offer massive horsepower potential and are perfect for those chasing big top-end numbers. They use exhaust gases to generate boost, eliminating parasitic loss, though they do have some lag as boost builds with RPM. Turbo setups require more complex installation—custom exhaust routing, intercooling, and precise tuning—but the payoff is huge. Like our supercharged builds, these engines include 2618 forged pistons, heavy wall pins, dual keyway crankshafts, ARP 2000 rod bolts, and extreme duty exhaust valves, with lower compression ratios to handle the increased cylinder pressures and heat.
Nitrous
Nitrous is the most cost-effective and straightforward power adder, delivering a sudden surge of power at the push of a button. It’s easy to install and works with both carbureted and EFI setups, making it a favorite for drag racers and weekend warriors. While nitrous is a temporary boost and can be demanding on internals, our builds are fully equipped with 2618 forged pistons, heavy wall pins, ARP 2000 rod bolts, and extreme duty exhaust valves to handle the hit. These engines typically run higher compression ratios than boosted setups, maximizing power when the nitrous is engaged.
