Clever Powered ‘70 Mustang Fastback Conversion for Steve

Welcome to our custom car gallery, featuring the stunning 1970 Mustang owned by Steven Gast. This masterpiece underwent a full rotisserie restoration, transforming a classic convertible into a striking fastback by seamlessly grafting in a rear tail section. As an original Boss car, the goal was to preserve its iconic style while infusing modern upgrades. Steven entrusted us with the creation of a bespoke 347 engine, uniquely designed as a “Clevor” or BOSS 302 with Cleveland cylinder heads mounted on a 302 Windsor block. To enhance performance, we installed a modern Holley multi-point EFI system and a straightforward front accessory drive from March Performance. The suspension features a Meijer racing coil-over strut system, allowing for the retention of factory shock towers, complemented by vintage upgrades that deliver a contemporary four-wheel disc brake feel. The meticulous restoration also included a media blast, undercoating, and a stunning blue finish that catches the eye. Custom headers and exhaust, along with the Wizard cooling package featuring brushless fans, ensure that this powerhouse stays cool, whether navigating city traffic or tearing up a road course. An upgraded Aeromotive fuel delivery system feeds the engine, while the interior retains a classic appearance with tasteful enhancements. Steven dedicated over a decade to sourcing components, and his passion and vision have culminated in a truly exceptional vehicle that is a dream come true.
