I installed a Prestige Motorsports 408 stroker engine in my 1990 Ford Bronco. So far the engine appears to be a very good replacement for the 351 Windsor engine. It has plenty of power but not so much that it stresses the stock drive train and it hasn’t leaked a drop of oil. It’s been a real pleasure dealing with Doug, Shawn and the actual engine builder, Senior. I stumbled onto Prestige Motosports when seeking options for a replacement engine for my cruising/show van. I emailed Doug and Sr and we decided on the Ford Small Block 408 Stroker package. On top of the initial package we added a multi port fuel injection intake manifold and Holley Terminator X ECU. It was difficult to find an oil pan to fit my application that was suitable for this build. Doug was able to find an oil pan that would fulfill the needs of the engine and had his fabrication team modify the front sump. The modification worked and the pan cleared the cross member and still looks great as natural steel. I don’t have the engine totally installed yet, but from the pics I have posted it has received many compliments. I will post again once I have the van back on the road and am able to review the final product.

I had my first encounter with Prestige Motorsports a few week ago. Doug and his crew came highly recommended by a respected member of the hot rod community so I figured I would give them a try. WOW!!!! I have to say that my experience was first class. I was in the final stages of installing a Borla 8 stack injection system in my 1964 Corvette and had no idea how to set up the Holley Terminator X system. Doug worked with me until the entire system was up and running. The questions that I had along the way were answered with a high level of expertise and not to mention quickly. This is a first-class team! There are plenty of motor builders, but Prestige set themselves apart from competitors from intial discussions to crate delivery. The team is very knowledgeable, provided amazing advice, and put together an awesome 351 Windsor Stroker (427 cu in) with a Borla intake system at a fair price and attention to detail. I would like to share my very positive experience I had doing business with Prestige Motorsports. First of all during my initial seeking out of companies that would build me a custom 460ci small block I found Prestige Motorsports. I chose them because of the nature of my build and how they were perfectly happy to build the kind of motor I wanted and built the motor around my needs and wants. a truly custom build. They truly delivered, 667HP 460ci small block ford is what I received with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty. Sounds crazy but that's the warranty Prestige has for their engine builds. The reason for my review is the exceptional customer service i have received by Doug "the owner" after my engine was received. He was on the phone with me during my initial startup and has spend his time on the phone with me on numerous occasions dialing in my tune and making sure my car is running tip top. I would highly recommend Prestige Motorsports to anyone looking for a new engine for their project car. Also Doug has replied to any text or email even if it doesn't have to do with anything directly involved with the engine build. So all in all I am very happy with Prestige Motorsports.

Any small aesthetic change that I made along the way (there were indeed a few) was absolutely no problem at all & everything I requested was promptly replied to & just as promptly administered. I'm not sure I can say enough good things about Prestige. I had a very good experience with them years ago when they were just starting and went back to them recently to solve a 2 year old problem I had with an EFI installation on my 1970 Camaro. Needless to say, I was frustrated and had engaged 3 other tuners. None of them solved the problem but Doug was able to diagnose the problem based on my description. Once I'd corrected the small exhaust leak, he tuned the car remotely and my 2 year frustration was over. The car is running better than it ever has!!

That being said, I found Roush to be extremely unresponsive. The exact opposite of the kind of customer service you would want one buying a motor of this nature. So I began exploring options and came across Prestige. The more I researched and then the more I spoke with the guys at Prestige, the more comfortable it became. They are everything you would hope for when building a motor. Precise and prompt communication, plus under committing over delivering in terms of timeframe. But most importantly they built an awesome motor and sent me detailed communication during every step of the process. The motor is now in the car and it’s an absolute beast. Additionally, their warranty is far superior to Roush. In the end I got a motor with more power and a better warranty in a company that I enjoy doing business with.
